Abstract: With quadratic regression general rotation design,a long-term field experiment was carried out in semi-arid area of western Liaoning,to study the effects of irrigation and fertilization on soil potassium content. The results showed that soil total Kcontent increased with the increasing nitrogen, straw and phosphorus application, but decreased with the increasing quantum of water. The application of phosphorus had the most notable effect and the effect of straw was in the next place.Soil available K content decreased with the increasing water, nitrogen and phosphorus application, but increased with the increasing straw application. The application of straw had the most notable effect and the effect of phosphorus was in the next place. In addition, application of nitrogen and phosphorus may increase the content of soil total Kbut decrease the content of soil available K.The change of the two represented negative correlations.
