Abstract: The objective of this study was to present a matrix model of uneven-aged broadleaved and Korean pine mixed forest in Changbai Mountain, based on equations of ingrowth, upgrowth and mortality model.Predictions were tested against post-sample observations for short-term accuracy. This growth model was then applied to study dynamic varivation of diameter grade, and effects on different cutting intensity to periodic average increment, annual yield and refaunation time were also analysed. The validity of the model was tested, which can provide the basic data for forest management policy makers.
