Abstract: In this paper, the ecological distribution of heterotrophic bacteria on wheat rhizoplane and within roots were reported. The total amount of bacteria attained maximum during flowering stage. The dominant bacterial groups on the rhizoplane were Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Flavobacterium, Enterobacteriaceae, while bacteria within wheat roots were Pseudomonas, Photobacterium, Flavobacterium, Xanthomonas, Staphylococcus. The relationship between plant nutrition and bacteria must await further investigation.
