Abstract: The reformation of traditional farming has been started at Qianchagan brigade. The main points of it are: combining land utilization with soil conservation and fertilization, improving land surface covering by afforestation and green manure planting, and expanding sowing area for leguminous forage and green manure crops. Nutrient cyclings at three stages of agricultural production developement (stages of shifting cultivation, rotation with grain and green manure crops, and combination of farming and animal husbandry)are discussed in this paper.
