Abstract: With Korean pine broadleaf mixed forest on the northwestern slope of Chanfbai Mountain region as the object of study, the biomass and net productivity of its aerial and subterranean parts are estimated. The results show that as a regional climax community, Korean Pine broadleaf forest has a larger biomass and net productivity, and the succession community, poplar-birch forest, has a smaller biomass and a medium net productivity. These xesults provide basic data for the study of mass-and energy transformation and nutrient circulation in Korean pine and birch communities.
