Abstract: This paper discussed the role of photosynthetic bacteria in ecosystem. Photosynthetic bacteria can utilize solar energy to assimilate carbon dioxide and fix nitrogen. The uracil and proline produced by it can increase the yields of rice and other crops. The detox-cation of it can also improve the growth conditions of crops. Utilization of photosynthetic bacteria for purifying various kinds of wastes is beneficial to the public health, and its by-products can be used as fodder.
