Abstract: Evergreen broadleaf trees grown on hilly lands of Dongtinghu area consist of 6 populations. These populations except that of camphor tree have more stable structure and components, being zonal vegetations of this area. They are cold-resistant and occur in the northern distribution limit of evergreen broadleaf trees, exhibiting characteristics of transition from northern Asian tropical vegetation to central Asian tropial vegetation. In the forests, there are 268 species (156 genera, 84 families) of plants with vascular bundle.
