Influence of Light on the Growth and Development of Tetranychus cinnabarinus

Abstract

Abstract: The life history of Tetranychus cinnabariinus (Bosduval)(Acari:Tetranychidae)was investigated under two light conditions of 15hr (9hr dark)and 9hr (15hr dark with constant temperature (29℃) and relative humidity (60—80%). The periods of life cycle, preoviposition and oviposition, oviposition rate, sex ratio, net reproductive rate, mean generation time, and intrinsic and finite increasing rates were determined respectively.
