Abstract: Determinations of various types of individual and stand structures of Phyllostachys pubescens and their biomasses show that tne succession from mixed forest to pure forest is an inverse one. It induces a simple stand structure, decreasing soil fertility, decreasing biomass and quality of plants and increasing plant diseases and insect pests. Properly reserving some other tree species in Phyllostachys pubescens forest will be profitable to the ecological balance. The best accompanied tree species are deciduous arbores such as Liquedabar formosana and than, masson pine. The best stand structure is bamboo: broadleaf tree: coniferous tree=7:2:1.
