Abstract: In the paper,the relationship among economic and ecological aspects in Shangqiu area form 1950—1983 was analysed.The focus of this analysis was put on the experiences and lessons we had gotten during the two periods of 1950—1957 and 1958—1963.The policy of taking agriculture as the base,should be emphasized in the economic development of this area.
