Abstract: The effect of atmospheric fluoride on the herb of Gladiolus gandavensis was studied. The result indicated that this plant is a desirable indicator for the pollution caused by atmospheric fluoride. The leaves became scorched when the fluoride concentration in air reached to 0.6μg/dm2·d during the blooming period. The accumulation of fluoride in the leaves is positivly correlated to the concentration of fluoride.
