Meteorological Effects of Soil Covering and Uncovering in Potato Field

Abstract

Abstract: Relations of soil covering in potato fields with meteorological conditions wers studied for 3 ysars, from which, the proper time, indices and temporal distribution of soil covering for increasing temperature and preserving moisture and its relations with tuber growth of potato were all revealed. In proper time after the crisis of moisture demanding, uncovering may increase the diurnal temperature difference and diurnal mean temperature of the soil and thus increase the production of potato.
