Abstract: Cyathen spinulosa is a rare relic palaeophyte which is widely spreaded over Chishui county and grows well. The investigation shows that C. spinulosa is mainly distributed in north slopes of valleys and moist environments under 500m above sea level. The community is dominated by Phanerophyte, the types of its leaf are mainly small-medium, coriaceus and simple leaves. The community consists of 23 species of bryophyte and pteridophyte, 82 species of seed plant belonging to 38 families and 67 genera. Three community types and the regeneration of C.spinulosa are discussed in the paper.
