Abstract: For primate ecology research, the census method is put on emphases, because it is basic to he population dynamics study.Several census methods including Linear Density and Nonlinear Density methods are introduced. Food-enhanced primate group and marked-spottedanimal methods are superior for primate's social structure and behaviour ressarch. The problems how to estimate the season and rate of birth and now to calculate the dynamic lifetable for macaque are discussed,an example dealing with these problems is also presented in the paper.
