Abstract: Breeding Chinese Bee has a long history in China. Owing to the change of its natural habitats, a long and intensive interruption of human activities, and the introduction and competition of western bee species(Italian Bee as the main), the distribution, quantity and density of Chinese Bee are becoming narrower and lower at great significance. This paper reviews the histery and present of Chinese Bee breeding, the causes for its quantitative declination and discusses the strategies for its preservation and development.
