Abstract: This paper presents the research results on ecological conditions and fish communities in Dafengkou Reservoir and Shihe River conducted in 1987-1989, which include natural environments of reservoir and river, physical and chemical properties of the water, status of aquatic organisms, fish composition, density of fish community, species diversity indices of fish and its dominance indices in reservoir and various sections of the river.
