Abstract: Using large amounts of reference materials, this paper introduces the present situation of water resources in the world and especially in China, brings to light the pollution and shortage of water resources due to irrational exploitation and problems arising from serious worsening natural ecoenvironment. It also calls for a comprehensive management and protection of water resources.
