Abstract: The selective predacity of female adult of A. makuwa to citrus mites is simulated in comparison with species of A nicholsi. A. makuwa shows a negative preference to the adult of P. citri, but A. nicholsi shows no selectivity and switching. In multi-form coexistent system of mites, the functional responses of A. makuwa to most mite forms are Nicholson type. Experiments show more positive functional response and total preying capacity of A. makuwa than those of A. nicholsi.
