Recreation Ecology ─ A New Area of Applied Ecology

Abstract

Abstract: Recreation ecology,which has been studied for a long time abroad, has not been systematically summarized in China. The major content of recreation ecology includes:1. Ecological assessment of natural landscape for recreation; 2. Analysis of ecological consequence of recreation and carring capacity for recreation;3.Planning of natural landscape for recreation and strengthening of recre- ation management for the protection of ecological integrity of recreation area.

Key words: effective leaf area index, leaf area index, calibration, litterfall method.
