Abstract: The paper expounded the composition and structure of food chains, material flux and output and important characteristics of the detritus food chain in bamboo forest ecosystem. A new food chain was built up by inoculating the decomposer(Dictyophora)in bamboo forest as a consumer, whose net-secondary productivity amount to 0. 714t.ha-1-1. It is a natural decomposer which can speed up the decomposition of stumps and other litherfalls in bamboo forest and is favourable to the growth of bamboo plants. Through the new food chain, the economic benefits of bamboo breast could increase about ten times than before.
