Abstract: The process of formation of the modern Huanghe delta was generalized first. Based on the results of present research, the lessons about the irrational reclamation in the past, which led to saline soil and to worse environment were discussed. Finally, the ecology principle we should obey and necessity, feasibility and the countermesure of continuing to develop reclamation were dealt with.
