Abstract: By means of the theory and methods of agricultural ecosystem succession, the changes of the Experimental Farm of Shihezi Agricultural College during past forty years were analysed. The research used the method of the three_dimensional cube to analyze the succession characteristics of farming, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline production and fishery in the ecosystem. The results showed that with development of the market economy, the industrial structure of experimental farm had changed. The crop planting and livestock breeding had been arranged according to the regional ecology_economy in order to use of potential resourses linking their characteristics and raising economic, social and environmental benefits.
