Abstract: The results of measurements and the SMPRIC analysis of the factors that might affect the nest habitat selection of Azure-Winged magpie showed: The main factors of the nest habitat selection were illaminance, the height and chest diameter of nest tree and average plant height within the range of 10 meter; and the less important factors were nest height from the ground, plant density around 10m and height of the nearest plant. Comparison with the nest surounding in Hailong Reservoir, Rizhao and Beijing area also showed that the nest habitat selection was different in different reqions. The bird nests were secreter and higher in the region with higher population density and frequent humanbeing activities.
