Relationships between soil-plant nutrition,quality of agricultural products and human and livestock health

Abstract: The abundant and insufficient situation of essential elements such as calcium magnesium,sulphur,zinc and iron and beneficial elements such as selenium and iodine in soils was reviewed, and the influences of these elements and organic matter on the quality of agricultural products and human and livestock health were discussed.The trends of future research in the field of soil element science and plant nutrition,in particular,the quality of agricultural products were prospected.
