    Potential productivity of Gugertree plantations in North Fujian Province

    Growth model of digitizing dominant tree height of Schima superba was established by digitizing theory. The multiple correlation coefficient was up to 0.9,Ttest shows that the dominant heights of Gugertree plantations were significantly correlated to the factors used. This result shows that slope form,depth of A+ABsoil horizons,soil texture,soil compaction and management level are very important factors,and slope position,slope direction and to the scores of digitizing site indices,site types were determined to investigate the growth tendencies of Gugertree plantations under diffeient conditions,and the site quality was evaluated. The selection of Gugertree planting sites was also discussed.

    With Korean pine as the example of coniferous tree and Oak as the example of deciduous tree,stemflow hydrograph was studied by the method of simulation experiment. According to experimental results,a model of stemflow was constructed. The equation set was solved numerically with iteiative method. The equation set shows the law of stemflow,it was proven by the comparative analysis of stemflow experiment and relevant simulation.
    Comparison of theory and case fitting between Logistic and Cui-Lawson population increment models

    In this paper,equations of dt/dXand dX/dt2 of Logistic and Cui-Lawson models are calculated. When d2X/dt2=0,the increment turning point of Logistic equation can only lies at the point of K/2 and then maximum value of dX/dt is μL K/4; under the same condition,the increment turning point of Cui-Lawson equation lies at the point of K/(√b+1) and then the maximum value of dX/dt is μCK/(√b+1)2. Through the variation of b,the Cui-Lawson equation may be superior than the Logistic when they are used to describe the law of population increment. By adopting the method of rotating coordinate with changing length of pace,comparisons between case fittings of these two equations are made. Logistic equation is also compared with Gause's,Andrewartha's,May's,Kreb's,Wan Changxiou's and Wang Mangmang's methods and results. Fitting results show that Cui-Lawson equation is the best and among the methods of fitting Logistic equation,the one described here is better.

    Wheat cultivars Liaochun No.6,76-63-1 and Yuemai No.6 are three strong spring ness ecotypes. They are insensitive to temperature in growing process and no response to low temperature in early phase of growth. These cultivars are insensitive to day-length toc. Photoperiodical reaction of cultivars has a variation. These ecctypes can pass through reproductive cycle,for instance,can heading of flowering normally in any latitude under different temperatures and illuminations in China. They can be growth in south and north areas. For their widc range of ecological adaptation,these cultivars are widely used in agricultural research and production.

    Crefton weed (Eupatorium adenophorum) has a great influence to the development of agriculture,forestry,livestock husbandry and sideline in Yunnan province and even in southwest China. To control it effectively,a biological control strategy is put forward. In view of optimal control,the authois made a primaiy study on P. utilis-E. adenophorum system. The status equation of optimal control system can be summarized as: Y=2.140282Y-0.029968U the optimal control trail: U*(t)=14285.7715 exp(-2.140878t) the optimal status trail:Y*(t)=100 exp(-2.140878t) here Yis the percentage of unparasitized shoot,Uis the number of P. utilis. It is optimal that one P. utilis holds ten shoots of E. adenophorum for its releasing on field. On basis of these results,the strategy of releasing P.utilis in poly-sites and one site at several times was advanced firstly.
    Distribution and dynamics of livestock populations in alpine meadow ecosystem

    In this paper,the distribution and dynamics of livestock populations in alpine meadow ecosystem were studied by leslie matrix model. More exactly diverting relations among age-groups were considered in the model. Slaughter rate is the main factor affecting the population fluctuation. At present,the distribution of livestock populations is not rationally controlled for economic benefit and ecological efficiency,and the amount of livestock populations are not maintained in equilibrium state.
    Ecological characteristics of zooplankton in feeding ground of mackerel and scads from Southern Yellow Sea and East China Sea

    In this paper,the ecological characteristics of zooplankton in feeding grounds of mackerel and scads from Southern Yellow Sea and East China Sea were studied by comparing methods. It showed that the extreme difference and variation coefficient of zooplankton biomass in southern foeding ground were less than those in northern feeding ground. The average value was higher in southern than in northern feeding ground,if the influence of biomass in a few stations could be negleoted. In northern feeding ground,community indices as diversity,homogeneity,abundance and simplicity were higher,and in southern feeding ground,they are to the contrary. The number of dominant species of zooplankton was less in northern than in southern feeding ground,but most of dominant species had higher aggregated intensity. On the contrary,the dominant degree in southern feeding ground was lower,and association density was also lower.
    Study on relations between Kaschin-Beck disease and content of selenium bounded by humic acids in soil in Northeast China

    In this paper,relations between Kaschin-Beck disease and selenium content of soil and soil humic acids in Northeast China were disccussed. The results show that selenium bounded by humic acids is the major form of selenium in soil,and the content of selenium bounded by fulvic acid is relatively high. There is a significant negative correlation between content of selenium bounded by fulvic acid and morbidity of Kaschin-Beck disease.
    Chemical behavior of heavy metals in rhizosphere Ⅱ. The rhizosphere effect of desorption of adsorbed Cu in soils

    In this paper,the rhizosphere effect of desorption of adsorbed Cu previously in the Quaternary reddic paddy soil (QP),Lateritic red soil(LR),Quaternary red earth (QR) and White bleaching paddy soil(WP) were investigated. The results showed that the adsorbed Cu could be divided into the easily desorped Cu (Cuedes),which could be desorped by 0.1M KNO3,and the difficultly desorped Cu (Cuddes),which would be desorped by 0.1M HCl. As the adsorption of Cu increased,the desorption percentage of Cuedes increased,while that of Cuddes decreased. For Cuedes,it was less in rhizosphere soil than in bulk soil,the rhizosphere effect of samples was shown as QP>WP>LR>QR,and the mean desorption percentage of easily desorped Cu were in the order of QP<WP<LR<QR. For Cuddes,it was much in the rhizosphere soil,the rhizosphere effect was shown as WP>LR>QP>QR,and the mean desorption percentage of difficultly desorped Cu were in the order of QP>WP>LR>QR. The total desorption percentage of samples were QP>WP>QR>LR. The increase of Cu adsorption in rhizosphere was mainly attributed to the increase of difficultly desorped Cu.
    Correlation of chlorophyll in leaves and SO2 in air

    Contents of chlotophyil and Sin leaves of six afforested trees and sand culture plant (Ipomoea aquatica) and concentration of SO2 in air were determined at five sites of Xiamen City. Chlorophyll a and b showed a decrease in the order of Gulangyu,Xiamen University>Train Station>Houjiandi Industry District>Electrical Chemical Factory,but Chl. a/b and Scontent in leaves showed a reversed tendency. These indicated that content of chlorophyll in leaves was negatively correlated with eoneentraion of SO2 in air and Sin leaves. The correlation equation was calculated(Y=-0.0138x+0.1958)to monitor concentration of SO2 in air by content of chlorophyll in plant leaves,which shows a biological evidence in evaluating air quality.
    Integrated microconduit potential analysis system and its application in ecoloqical research

    In this paper,the experiment device,basic principle and analytical character of integrated microconduit potential analysis system and its application in ecological research were presented. Ions K+,Na+,Cl-,pH,NH3,NO3-,Ca2+,Mg2+,F-,CN-,I- and S-/Ag+,atropinium and scopolamium in soil,plant,water,wastewater,seium and medicine were determined by the mierodevice based on flow injection analysis principle. The analytical results agreed well with those obtained by standard analytical methods. In view of the advantages provided by intredueing integrated microconduit system into analytical sphere,microdeviee will play an important role in ecological research.

    Since 1970s,microcosm has been received an increasing attention as an effective tool for assessing the environmental impact of chemical pollutants. The application cf aquatic microcosm to environmental research developed rapidly because the released chemicals from point/non-point sources would enter aquatic echosystem through direct and indirect ways. During the earlier pericd,the particular emphasis was laid on the fate of chemicals in aquatic environment. Since the later 1970s,the attention has been gradually focused on the ecological effects of toxic substances at various biological organization levels within aquatic ecosystems. This paper gave a review in following four aspects: 1) some concepts concerning microcosm; 2) various types ef aquatic microcosm used in environmental research; 3) some disputed problems; and 4) a new trend in the use of aquatic microcosm technique and its prospects for the future.
    Model study on gas exchange and diffusion in legume nodules

    Amodel is introduced to simulate the gas exchange and dirrusion in legume nodules with the aim of elucidating some aspects of regulating low O2 concentration in the infected cells of nodules. Both of Layzell-Hunt and Bergersen-Sheehy Models suggested that the diffusion barrier is aqueous and may ccnsist of a layer cf cells in the nodule cortex,in which,the intercellular spaces are filled with water. The resistance of such a barrier could be regulated by altering the depth of water occupying the intercellular spaces. The advantage of the model is an inherent flexibility,so that having obtained a first approximation to this extreme complex symbiotie association,and evaluated this approximation in the light of empirical or theoretical consideration. The model should be modified in lectifying in its assumption.

    Agreat number or historical racts snow that man's mnuence to ecosystem has become stronger and stronger and has gradully held on a certain special niche. According to the ideas of "progressive centralization" and "progressive mechanization" in L. v. Bertalan ffy's General System Theory,by reasoning the evolutionaiy process of cell and indivi dual from analogy,man's niche in ecoystem is deduced: it is not only the linkage of food chain,but also the regular-controller in ecosystem. On the basis of classical ecology,fully considering man's niche,a four-unitary structure of ecosystem including producer,consumer,decomposer and regular-controller is put forward. Further analysis shows that the appearance of mankind is the necessary historic product in the evolutionary process of ecosystem; social-economic-natural ecosystem is a two levels structured system with man kind as a contre and has a complex mechanism.
