Abstract: In this paper, the distribution and dynamics of livestock populations in alpine meadow ecosystem were studied by leslie matrix model. More exactly diverting relations among age-groups were considered in the model. Slaughter rate is the main factor affecting the population fluctuation. At present, the distribution of livestock populations is not rationally controlled for economic benefit and ecological efficiency, and the amount of livestock populations are not maintained in equilibrium state.
