Abstract: The size structure and distribution pattern of Picea mongolica population on sand dune and their rerlationship to eco-environment are studied by size structure in place of age structure. The results show that the population is charactrerized by increasing type in plots 1,2,3 and 5, and static type in plot 4. Regarding plots 1,2 and 3 as a plot, the population distribution pattern in contagious, which becomes random when young trees are getting matured.
