Abstract: Fire-resistance test with Alnus tinctoria forest belt in larch plantations shows that Alnus tinctoria is a fast growing and fire-resistance species, and its shade density after 5~6 years growing is more than 0.9. The combustibles are less in the belt than in broadleaved forest, being 0.8 kg·m-2. It is quite safety during fire risk period of Spring and Autumn, and has a significant natural fire-resistance effect.
