Abstract: In this paper, different methods are used to study the distribution pattern of saplings of Neolitesea aurata var. glauca, Castanopsis carlesii var. spinulosa and Symplocos lancifolia under evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous forest. The strength and area of their concentrated distribution are identified, and the relationship between distribution pattern and environmental factors are discussed. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of two methods (square grid method and transect plot method) used for studying the distribution pattern of plant population are analyzed.
