Abstract: In this paper, the death causes from withering of Larix olgensis in Changbai Mountain area are investigated interdisciplinarily. The results show that the death of L. olgensis is not directly related to forest disease and insect pests, and the formation of high moor on forestland can lead to the lack of oxygen in root zone and the hindering of root respiration, which is a direct cause of L. olgensis death.
