Abstract: Studies on the characteristics of soil fauna in Aneurolepidium chinense grassland show that it can be classified into 14 orders belonging to 4 phyla and 6 classes. Its horizontal distribution pattern is in the order of weeds community>Aneurolepidium chinense conmmunity >Calamagrostis epigeios community>Ulmus pumila sparse woods>Puccinellia tenuiflora community>Suaeda glauca community. The seasonal variation of its amount and biomass is similar and both of them have a peak value in August. Its amount is decreased with increasing soil depth, and occupies 50% of the total in 0-10cm soil later.
