Abstract: Estimation of the amount of carbon accumulated by forests in China shows that at present time, the accumulation is higher than the release, and the net absorption is about 86.27 million tons C per year, which will increase by 7.73 million tons per year in the future 20 years and reach to 146.97 million tons by the year 2000.
