Abstract: Studies on soil physical and chemical properties of mixed broadleaved and coniferous forests show that the improvement effect of mixed forest on soil is better than that of pure forest, under which, soil porosity is increased by 2-19%,soil moisture content by 6-31%,annual litter amount by 2-200%,total N by 45-75 %,NH4-N by 33-82%,exchangeable Ca and Mg by 55-85% and 44-84% respectively, and humus content by 37-46%.
