Abstract: Field experiment with cotton shows that sex pheromone can not only affect the courting and copulation of adult Helicoverpa armigera, but also disturb its flying behaviors in the course of feeding, dispersal and concealment. Awide area pheromone trap experiment indicates that after using sex pheromone, the male population is reduced by half, the copulation of each female is reduced 0.6 times, and the incubation rate in room and in field is reduced 19 and 13.5%, respectively.
