Abstract: Studies on the structure of RuBP carboxylase in Phragmites communis at different saline habitats of Hexi Corridor show that its large and small subunits have the same molecular weight. As for the reeds at saline meadow and transitional zone, their RuBP carboxylase has a higher content of hydrophilic amino acid, lower content of hydrophobic amino acid and sharply decreased amount of SH groups titrated by PCMB when compared with the reed at swamp meadow, which indicates that the structure of RuBP carboxylase in reeds is varied and the enzyme has a gene expression to the environmental variation.
