Abstract: Studies on crop edge effect show that when the role of favorable ecological factors on crop population is greater than that of unfavorable ecological factors, the positive edge effect appears and the edge superiority shows; reversely, the negative edge effect appears and the edge inferiority shows.Under the same interior conditions in crop population, the absolute value of edge effect is decreased with increasing edge distance.
