Abstract: The mineralization of soil organic nitrogen is one of the most important factors reflecting soil nitrogen-supply capability and one of the hot subjects of soil ecology in home and abroad, which could be referred as a function of soil organic content, duration of its mineralization, and soil environmental factors affecting the process of mineralization. There are three basic model types of soil nitrogen mineralization, namely, the kinetic, thermodynamic and empirical types. Soil temperature, moisture, pH and organic N forms are the soil environmental elements which impact the mineralization process and could be quantified.
