Abstract: Investigations on floristic composition and structure of Carya cathayensis forest on Dabieshan Mountain show that there are 134 species in the community and Carya cathayensis is a dominant one, whose important value is 157.35-241.84. A few treespecies can invade into the canopy layer. The physiognomic character of the community is represented by its transitional form from Subtropical to temperate fotest, and the florae are characterized by abundant geographic elements, and with complex and temperate floristic composition.
